Fedora Core - Inspiron 8100

I know I'm writing quite a bit about my experience with using Fedora Core and this laptop, but it serves as a sort of way for me to document my knowledge in a semi permanent location.

After some trial and error, I think I've been able to determine that a Microsoft wireless USB mouse plugged in at the time of starting the installation can cause issues with installing any version of Fedora Core. Of course, I'm talking strictly about doing this on a Dell Inspiron 8100 with the wifi usb mouse and only during installation. It hasn't finished installing yet, but it got past it's "Can't read the media" error that it inevitably finds on one of the CD's during install. As a note, this has happened on Fedora Core 4, 5 and 6. My next install attempt will be to use a network share to install from. I'm hoping this will go much quicker. (Typical install time for FC5 is about 145 minutes)
